Basketball season is in full swing! And I am so excited!

This year should be really fun!

We got to spend the weekend down in St. George where the guys went 1-1.

They lost to Seattle Pacific who beat Div. 1 Arizona (ranked 16th) and who are ranked 20...something in Div. 2. That game was great and we were winning the whole time until the last couple minutes. I am sure the guys will see them again in tournament.

This is us with Copper. My brother gave him to his girlfriend for her birthday earlier that week.

He is so cute!

Both of our families got to come down and watch the games.

It was great to see them and spend some time together.

So excited for the rest of this week! Thanksgiving (yum), Mesa's Thanksgiving basketball tournament this weekend, and my birthday!

Okay so going to the driving range isn't Halloweenish but it was a beautiful day and it was my first time going. It was so fun!

We went to the haunted corn maze...that place is pretty cool with all the animals, pumpkin patch, and family fun things to do.

We went out to a friends party for Halloween...it was interesting...

it will probably be the first & last time we go to a college party as a married couple.

The most entertaining thing of the night was watching a guy dump hot sauce in peoples beers when they weren't looking & then watching them drink it...that my friends is HILARIOUS.

We have been so busy between all our different responsibilities but at least we are having some fun when we have time!

My sisters came to visit over General Conference weekend. We had fun doing crafts, eating yummy food, watching/listing to conference, playing Just Dance, and going to Bananas.

We went back to Utah one weekend & got to watch our nephew Barrett play football! Blake has been waiting for this moment since Barrett was like one. They are so much alike it's crazy. Anyways it was a lot of fun and it was the first of many football games to come...

School has started and we have become more busy! With Blake taking 16 credits and basketball and me taking 14 (online, ugh...kill me) and work I am surprised we manage to still have fun with our friends and make quick trips back to Utah here and there. We are seriously so tired at the end of the day! I have really slacked in my journaling and I will usually rely on my blog to help me remember stuff...but I've slacked on this as well.

The first week of school Angie & Colton had the team over for a BBQ.

It was really fun and such a success.

It was a great way to meet the new guys and some of the guys ladies!

Chandler & Erica had planned an overnight camping trip at Vega Reservoir with the team. I had to work most of Saturday but we got up there by 5 to have dinner, s'mores, and have fun with our friends.

We headed home that night since I had to work the next morning, it was short, but we had fun.

This year we have been good at supporting other fellow CMU athletics. We've gone to a football game, women's soccer, and 2 volleyball games. Go us! :)

This cute guy & I celebrated 3 years of marriage on August 2nd. My little brother and sister were in town staying with us so we took them to Bananas Fun Park for some lazer tag, water boats, and mini golf before we left them at home with a movie and a pizza so we could go out! We went to dinner and over-indulged in yummy food and went and saw the movie Crazy, Stupid, Love. We really liked it! :)

Blake did not love the water boats. All the kids ganged up on him & he was soaked!

For our anniversary we don't usually give each other gifts but this year we decided to get a big gift & get a BBQ. However, I work all the time and we haven't been able to actually go buy it!

This year I also wanted to do something a little different and I made us a time capsule for us to open on our ten year anniversary. It was pretty fun to put together. We put in pictures of our day together & our apartment, we wrote each other letters, did an "All About Me" quiz, and put in little knick-knacks that kinda represent us and our last year together. I think it turned out pretty sweet and it will be fun to open in 7 years.

My mom turned 40 on the 9th and we wanted to throw her a surprise party.

It was a lot of hard work since I live in Colorado and the party was in Utah but I think it turned out pretty great and I hope my mom enjoyed it!

I never realized all the work she puts into having family get togethers and after taking on such a huge project I can't believe she single-handly does it mulitple times a year!

I can tell you now I don't plan on doing surprise parties in the near future.

But all the hard work was worth it. The place looked great, we had good food, and great company!

Her cake was made by Erica Dixon at Purple Paisley Designs and I think she did a great job and made the cake the exact way I had it in my head! Also surrounding the cake we had cupcakes that matched...it was pretty cute...if I do say so myself!

More traveling for us...but so worth it to see our friends get married and be apart of there day!

On Tuesday we had their rehearsal dinner and the food was delish! Last minute the guys decided to go to Wendover so the girls went country dancing & karaoke(ing?). We had so much fun!! It was kind of a bad idea since it was the day before the wedding and no one slept! The wedding was beautiful and the bride & groom stunning.

And my groomsman looked pretty handsome also! :)

I am not a big fan of carnivals. They are too crowded and it always smells terrible. However, I was in Utah for a few days to officially change my last name to Francom (Hooray La-Shana...it's only been 3 years!) My little brother and sister and cousin wanted to go to the Art City Days carnival and Keila and I were the chaperones for this event. We didn't plan on going on any rides but the kids talked us into it.

This is Keila and me just seconds before our cart flipped on the Zipper and my purse knocked us in the face multiple times.

We only rode two rides and the was enough for us.

Blake has been lucky enough to really have life long friends. Since Steve and him are cousins they have been best friends since birth and then once Nate came along he completed their group.

These guys have been through a lot together and have some really funny memories that the ladies and I get to hear about or even were apart of.

Third post today...I am on a roll! On Wednesday, we had an end of year party at Coach Heaps house with pizza and other goodies. Certificates and plaques were handed out and we also got a book full of all the newspaper articles on the team, which is pretty sweet to have. I'm pretty excited for next season..I know it's like 6 months away but we only lose two seniors and I think our team will be even better this coming season!

On Tuesday we went to the SAAC picnic. I don't remember what it stands for but it was for the athletes at the school. They had pulled pork sandwiches for us, some game that is just like horse shoes and bocce ball, and a dunk tank. All the coaches took a turn in it and I felt like their players all threw just to get back at their coach haha.

At the end they gave out awards to the seniors from every team and then had a raffle drawing. We put in $12 work of tickets. And came away with Country Jam tickets. They had legit prizes too. Things like camping stuff, small BBQ's, 4 day COuntry Jam tickets, free food coupons from a bunch of restaurants, a 32 in flat screen tv, and an X Box with a Kinect. We were hoping to win more but the softball team seriously won 90% of the prizes. That was pretty disappointing. Next year we will be more prepared!! =)

We're very fortunate to live so much closer to family. Granted we still have to drive 3 1/2 hours to see them but it's a lot better then buying plane tickets. We wanted to just hang out with family this time we were home and we had so much fun.

We took pictures for Mother's Day and I think they turned out pretty cute. I know I am posting the pics a day early but my mom happened to find them early so that went right out the window. However, I think they turned out pretty cute.

On Saturday, our nephew Hank had a gymnastics thing so we went to support. It really was a bunch of kids showing how they can do cart wheels, jump on trampolines, and cute stuff like that. After we went out to eat with some people from both sides of the family.
After dinner we went over to Mark & Rachel's to play games and our 5 YEAR OLD neice, Charlotte, made us chocolate muffins all by herself...like everything by herself..pretty impressive if you ask me. Oh and they were delicious.

On Sunday we celebrated my dad's birthday with Cafe Rio pork burritos/tacos that my mama made...seriously the closest thing to actually Cafe Rio..and I made my dad a Laker's cake and cupcakes.

After we played some Bocce ball and then we left to Blakes parent's house where we celebrated our neice Hallie's birthday with cake and ice cream and played games.

Since we've been married we have never really celebrated Easter. Ya know, with baskets and stuff. And really I've kinda missed it! My mom gives amazing Easter baskets and Blake's parents do a egg hunt with money & candy in it...and you can come away with some decent cash my friends. Anyways... the plan was to go back to Utah and spend Easter with the family and see some dance performances that my nieces were in...well like usual work got in the way. We still had a fun weekend though.

We went to dinner, went shopping, and played some mini golf. Which sadly, I lost! I'm not a very good loser! Ha. On Saturday, after I got out of work, my oh-so sweet hubster had a egg hunt/scavenger hunt ready for me back home. It was really fun and Blake wrote some hilarious riddles for the scavenger hunt!

I finally had a couple days off in a row for us to go back to Utah to visit family & friends.

We had such a good time and wish we could see the people we love the most more often!

On Friday we had lunch with Colton and Angie before an appointment I had in SLC.

That night we had dinner with some of our best friends and played games and caught up with life. Sadly, Blake and I sucked at the game and ended up having to get Frosty's and fries for everyone.

But they were oooh so good!!

Saturday we watched conference and watched this little guy for a couple hours!

My side of the family is not around babies very often so my family was stoked to have him at the house and the kids mauled him and wanted all his attention!

After babysitting duty we went to lunch with Kyle and his kids and my brother and then the guys went to the priesthood session while I went to visit another friend and see the house they were building.

I can't wait until we move into a house!!

Sunday morning we went to my uncle's in Orem to watch the morning session of conference and have breakfast/brunch. My grandparents are done serving their mission in SLC and they were heading back to the Cook Islands that afternoon.

It was fun to get together and see my aunts, uncles,and cousins and eat yummy food!

Later we had Sunday dinner at Blake's parents house with some of the fam!

It was fun to see everyone and catch up!

Spring Break Plan 'B'

We had high hopes of going back to Utah for Spring Break since it was a week long and I had a few days off from work. I have been working graveyard shifts and so our plan was to leave right when Blake picked me up Monday morning. Literally hours before leaving a co-worker called in sick for her graveyard shifts the rest of the week....uhhh yeah so I had to pick up those shifts. I was super sad about it because we were really looking forward to seeing our family and friends.

We were determined to still have fun. So after I would sleep during the day we would get ready and go play until I had to go back to work!

Just before we went bowling... I got my butt kicked!!

We went to Bananas Fun Park one day and did some batting practice and mini golf.

After we went to Cold Stone! Yummm! =)

The Many Things You Can Do...

Okay so there aren't many things you can do there!

But Angie and Colton wanted to see each other so we joined Colton for the ride to Price

and thought it was right in the middle of

Grand Junction and Salt Lake.

We were wrong.

There is really nowhere else to meet so we went there.

We had dinner at Wingers and then went to the movie Unknown in a really ghetto theater.

The movie was great though!

It made us want to watch all 3 Bourne movies!

So we did just that on Sunday! =)

Senior night = No sleep!

Senior Night was a lot of fun!! The night before we lost to Adams State in overtime by 3. Not a very fun night at all. So the next night being Senior Night and all, the Mavs were out for blood!

They beat Fort Lewis (ranked #2 in our conference) for the second time.

It's tradition on Senior Night to go to The Rockslide (Brewery/Pub) for dinner and then...partyyying!

It was a pretty fun place except for the band was right by us and so it was hard to have a conversation 'cause it was so loud! After dinner when the alcohol really came out we skipped out with Colt & Ang and Kev & Cass for some after hours hot tubbing at Marriot.

That whole weekend I got about 6 1/2 hours of sleep and inbetween the games and hanging out I was working 12 hour shifts.

I was a very sleepy girl come Sunday night!

I haven't been very good at blogging lately. I have been taking a lot of pictures though!

Meet Kate.

She's my friend Kelley's puppy and is so cute and is super hyper for a chunk of a dog.

I just love her except for when she wants to eat my shoes.

A few weeks ago Blake's brother Austin came down with his parents and Dorine with his kids Ariana and Eli. I love my niece and nephew. They are so cute and full of personality. We got some great shot of them swimming. Those two kids made friends pretty fast at Mesa State. They would run around the court after the game and people would come up to me and tell me how cute they are and ask for high-fives from them. Seriously they are way more popular then us and we have been here since August.

MSC basketball fans are pretty funny. I think it's hilarious these guys paint themselves every game.

Happy New Year!

I have to say 2010 was a pretty good year for our family and I hope this year will be even better! I had to work on New Years Eve which sucked but I got off at 7 p.m. so we could still hang out with our friends!

We had dinner at Outback and then went back to Erica and Chan's house for games, Orea Strawberry-Banana shakes (believe me, they are awesome!), and ringing in the New Year!!

Holiday Fun-ness!

I love the holiday season, except for the fact that I work at a hospital and in a department that is 24/7 and that means you work holidays. Whatev, you do what you have to right? Anyways...cranberry salsa...has anyone had it before? It is delish! And before my girls trip, Erica and I made a ton of this stuff to give away for holiday treats...and munch on while we canned them up! So yummy!

Speaking of girls trip....

We drove to Durango to watch our men play ball and kick some butt! It was a lot of fun to have girl time and to take a mini road trip even though it ended sooner then planned.

Between getting pulled over, our quote book, and stories we will be laughing for days!

Since I had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas we didn't make it back to Utah, however I was able to switch one of my shifts around and we could make it back Sunday thru Tuesday. Short trip but worth it.

It was my nephew Barrett's 7th birthday on Sunday so after games and junk food we sang him "Happy Birthday" and had some delicious cake and ice cream

On Monday Blake was sick, and so was this little guy. Poor Carson. He's so cute when he's all happy but when we took this picture he was a sad lil' tike and pretty tired after a day at the doctors and errands.

My parents also got another pup. His name is Bo and he's super cute, super chubby, and super clumsy! He also likes shoes, like new black flats but after the face he gives you after yelling you feel kinda bad. I'm a sucker for puppy faces. This guy "mysteriously" ended up on my parents porch in a kennel...hmmm

With these yummy ingredients (including a few eggs,water, and vegetable oil)
you can make a scrumptious treat!
Ingredients:
1 package Duncan Hines Swiss Chocolate Cake Mix
1 container Duncan Hines Creamy Vanilla Frosting
1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
15 miniature peanut butter cup candies (cut in half vertically)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place paper liners in muffin cups.
2. Prepare, bake, and cool cupcakes following package directions for basic recipe.
3. Combine Vanilla frosting and peanut butter in medium bowl. Stir until smooth. Frost cupcakes and decorate with peanut butter cup candy (cut side down).
4. The best part, ENJOY!

Thanksgiving 2010

So many pictures and blogspot does not want to cooperate with me right now! This last week was a lot of fun! My family and some of Blake's family came out for Thanksgiving and his basketball tourney which you can read about under the Mesa State tab above. We celebrated my birthday, ate a lot of food, played Just Dance 2 almost every night (which I am the bomb.com at), went shopping, and found out that Blake and I are way too laid back for Black Friday shopping! Enjoy!

October has been a busy month for us.

I finally got a job so that's big news! I was offered to be a psych ward clerk at a psych hospital here but the next day got offered a job in the communications department at St. Mary's hospital and jumped on that and started last week. It's been really busy but it's good to be doing something instead of staying at home all day!

The first weekend of October we made a final (until holidays, hopefully) trip back to Utah since basketball practices would be starting soon.

My parents went down to St. George to go to a wedding so Blake and I took on babysitting duty. Friday night we went to Blake's mission reunion and I got to meet some people from his mission and Pres. Wixom and Sister Wixom, they are the sweetest people and I see why Blake loves them so much. It was conference weekend and it was great to hear from our Prophet and other leadership in the church. Sister Wixom is actually the churches Primary President and spoke on Saturday morning and did awesome. It was nice to lounge in my mom's "mom pajamas" and hangout with some siblings. On the 6th Makenna turned 12 so we took some pics for her and she was stunning! She also had a witches birthday party to go to so I got to dress her up and she looked so cute! She won the costume contest and my mom was pretty proud! :)

We went to a wedding reception that night and it was nice to run into some freinds and chat and then went home to make breakfast burritos with Mikey and his girlfriend Kiera.

Our trip was fun and it was good to see our family, even though it was short lived.

Official practices started and I'm sure Blake and the rest of the guys were excited since that meant no more early morning weights and conditioning. A day or two before practices started Coach Heaps had everyone over for a BBQ and the food was great and it was nice to meet everyone.

Last Saturday they had a scrimmage against CNCC (a juco team) and it was fun to see them play together. Colton's girlfriend Angie and her mom came down for the weekend so we had a fun Saturday together!

Our nephew Barrett sent Blake this "Flat Stanley" guy who they read about in some book in school and he likes to go on adventures. So we thought how perfect would it be if he went to the scrimmage with us haha. Barrett loves sports just like his uncle so we got a picture with Blake, Colton, and Chandler.

After the scrimmage we went to eat at a yummy mexican restaurant and a few hours later got together at our house for some pumpkin carving! I hadn't done this in years and realized soon after we started that it takes me FOREVER to carve a pumpkin cause I am too much of a perfectionist.

We had tons of treats for the get together and Angie and I made these Chocolate chip Brownies....yummmm!

We had such a fun day with Angie and Colton! We're going to make it a tradition now to carve pumpkins every Halloween!

Also, for those of you who knew that Blake's team (Mesa State) was planning on playing UVU next week in Orem, the game was cancelled. Dick (that's seriously his name, but it explains him well) cancelled the other day and lied and said something about NCAA rules but we found out he was lying about it and we can't quite figure out why he doesn't want to play but have come up with some reasons being that there are 3 Utah guys on our team and he wont recruit from Utah but who really knows?! But there was a contract on the game so he would rather pay $75,000 instead of playing! Weird! Anyways we're sad our friends and family wont be able to watch him play but what can you do?!

Where a kid, can be a kid!!!

We had a date night with Chan and Erica and had so much fun! We had dinner at Outback, got some ice cream at Coldstone, and then went to Chuck E Cheese to play the games.

We had a basketball shooting contest Francom v. Burgon. I sucked the first two rounds but luckily Blake could pick up my slack and we won all three rounds. Next time we'll have to place bets on ice cream or something. :)

BYU v. Airforce

This last weekend we headed down to Colorado Springs to watch the Airforce game with 2 of my brother in laws and there friend Robbie. I was pretty excited to get out of the house...however BYU could not pull off a win. There were so many things that went wrong it wasn't even funny. It was a very disappointing day to be a cougar fan. However, the 9/11 tribute was awesome and they did a lot of spotlights of people who were closely involved with everything that happened 9 years ago. I'm so thankful for all the men and women who sacrifice there lives everyday for the freedoms I get to enjoy.

We're hoping for a more successful season but they are young so who knows. But it was a fun little getaway and it was good to see some family.

Laboring on Labor Day

The title speaks for itself. We don't have a day off from school or basketball today! I think people in Grand Junction are confused about what Labor day is about....it doesn't mean "to labor on this day" it means NOT TO! Nonetheless, we have missed out on the Onion day's feastivities but hey it's not like we haven't missed the last couple of years anyhow. We did make it back to Santaquin for the weekend though.
We....
* got back Friday evening and decided to go back to our old stompin' grounds at PHS and watch a little football....the team lost (figures) but I still have high hopes that if our kids decide to play football there it will turn around for the good.

* went bowling Friday night after the game with my brother Mikey and his girlfriend Kiera, my sister Keila, and my bro-in-law Mason and his two kids Drew and Barrett....I won...just sayin'!

*went to lunch with our good friends and got to catch up a bit! Love them!

* went to the carnival in Payson to look at the booths and Blake played a football throwing game and won a Kurt Warner jersey.

*watched the Cougars win Washington while enjoying chicken nuggies and a bunch of treats with our family!

*went to church with my family and had a delicious dinner and awesome Chocolate Cherry Cake to top it off before heading home.

Overall, it was a good weekend. It's so nice to only live 3 1/2 hours away and if we need a break from Colorado living we can always head home!

Happy 24th Birthday babe!

Blake turned 24 on the 21st.We ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Colton, Chandler and his wife, Erica. TRH had him saddle up while we clapped and sang Happy Birthday!
We moved to Grand Junction, Co. on Friday. Our apartment is bigger then our place in Cali but it's fully carpeted....like even in the kitchen and bathroom...haha so funny! Anyways we're busy trying to get settled in and Blake starts school on Monday....time to begin our new adventure! :)

On Saturday our family went to Lagoon! It was a lot of fun! The weather was bi polar that day but we stuck it out and had a blast! At one point it was thunder and lightening and pouring rain but we camped out under the canopy and when the rain let up we played a game called Bocce, it's some italian game, and its just like horse shoes but you use balls. It got pretty competitive! And for the record...Blake and I were champs with 9 straight wins before we went back to riding rides :)

On the 24th my side of the family came over and we had a BBQ pool party...it was so much fun! We had steaks on the barbie and tons of delicious side dishes! My mom is an over-acheiver when it comes to parties and she made so much good food! Yum!!!

Cherries

I haven't been good at taking pictures this summer...but here are a few of my favorites! This summer so far has been so much fun! I have loved spending so much time with our families and friends! I just finished the 3rd session for swim lessons and Blake started cherries tonight...it will be a long 3 1/2 weeks for the both of us! More him then me...I just hate sleeping alone!

The kids I spend most of my days with....Barrett, Makenna, Hunter, and Drew...they spend half the day in the pool...I love water but these kids never get sick of it! I love being able to hang out with them!

On Sunday Blake was playing backyard football with some of our nephews and then he was snapping pictures cause they dressed up in football attire. Well Barrett scored a touchdown and took a victory lap and Blake snapped this pic! It's so cute!

We went to the benefit concert for Amy Jackson with Peter Breinholt and other local artists. It was so good! Blake and my brother and sister in law love Peter and I had never really heard his music before but he is awesome! Also, Amy Jackson's husband made a tribute to her and I was bawling my eyes out. The way he spoke about her really hit me and he was saying all these wonderful things that made me think about my life and how if Blake was in that situation I would hope he would talk about me that way because it was true. I heard from numerous people that she was actually the woman her husband said she was.

Since we have been back to Utah I have been a slacker at blogging! Between all the family get togethers, meeting up with friends, and new additions to families...Sandy finally had baby Carson :)...it's be tough to stay on top of blogging! But I promise to be better! :)

On the 5th it was my cousin Ashlyn's baptism and we got to see a lot of family and had delicious food (always a plus!)

Ryo came back to Utah with us for a little over a week and we had to say goodbye to him. It was kinda sad since we probably wont ever see him again. We hope we do but if not we wish him the best in life!

On the 20th it was my little brother Hunter's 10th birthday! We celebrated it on the 19th at my in laws and had a pool party and ate far too much food!

We went fishing with my brother in law Mark and his two kids Hank and Charlotte at Maple Lake. No lie after Charlotte casted her rod in the lake 20 seconds later she had a fish....no one believed her for awhile until I saw the fish pulling on the line. It took a while longer before we caught the next two fish.

We have spent the last two weekends at my in laws cabin up in Mt. Pleasant. I love going there. It's so pretty and sooo relaxing!

Last Friday we went to the cabin and then went to the MMP in Manti. We had a delicious turkey dinner, watched Blake do a little "bible bashing", and my niece and nephew, Hallie, Waylon, and I had a mini photo shoot. So fun!

This last Saturday we left the cabin early and went with my family up to Bear lake to meet up with some other family/friends. It was fun but a short trip since we came back late Saturday night. We seriously took up so much space because my cousins dad is the 2nd oldest of 16 kids! And most of them are married and have kids. It was great to catch up with them since I haven't seen them since my wedding or my cousin Ana's wedding in 2007!

Phewww...that was a mouthful! But that's about it for now... I had a ton more pictures but for some reason the blog isn't allowing me to put more up! But until next time.....farewell! :)

My Graduate

We're back in Utah....just got here a few hours ago and let's just say that drive home was not fun! Not only did packing suck but the GPS had us go back a very weird and wrong way and a 12 hour drive turned into 19 hours and then we stayed a night in some ghetto and I mean ghetto hotel! My dad said one day we'll laugh about this...I think the day before forever will be too soon! Haha just kidding!
Anyways Blake graduated from Hartnell with his AA with an emphasis in Behavioral and Social Science with honors....whatever that means haha...Blake doesn't really know! The graduation was REALLY long and to top everything off...they translated everything in spanish! Only in Salinas! Blake now wishes he didn't tell his teammate he'd walk in graduation with him but whatever. My friend Racheal took some pics of him in his cap and gown and I love them!

We've been so busy with everything going on but I wanted to make a quick post! Blake has been busy with school and takes his last final today and is getting ready for graduation! I've been busy with work! And we've both been packing, packing, packing for our trek back to Utah next week! We've been busy going out with friends before we leave and it's been a lot of fun but sad at the same time.
And finally....the Lumina took it's last breath a week ago and so we donated it and all 246,000 miles of it to Kars for Kids...I shed a tear as the tow truck came to get it...haha jk.

We were kind of in a pickle when the Lumina died cause we weren't planning on getting a car til we got back to Utah but luckily our friends bought another car and they were selling the '07 Kia Spectra so we jumped on that and bought it from them :) Now it's just a Kia but after driving the Lumina it feels like a Bentley haha.

Last weekend I went to Utah for Bodie and JoQell's wedding. It was a two day deal so I flew into SLC and had to go right to Manti temple. Although I had been up since 4:30 a.m. and was rushed all day it was great to get to the temple on time and share in there special day!

Yesterday was the first signing day for college basketball and Blake and I decided where we'd like to go and so Blake signed with Mesa State College in Colorado! So Grand Junction, Co. Ryo's Baptism

Our son Ryo was baptized on Saturday the 10th. It was such an amazing day and we are so proud of Ryo. Beau baptized Ryo and Blake and Chris gave talks on baptism and the Holy Ghost while I shed a few tears. Then on Sunday Coach Vasher confirmed him. It's amazing to see baptisms but when adults make the decision to come to church, to fast and pray about the church, read the Book of Mormon, and then commit to bapstism because they know it's true the Spirit seems to be extra strong and overwhelming!

Spring Break

It's Blake's spring break so we took a short trip back to Utah! We had so much fun with our family and friends! I felt like we were so busy everyday that it flew by! I can't wait til we move back for summer! :)

We went to Winger's with some of our BFF's and then went back to the Wall's to have a fire with roasted marshmellow's and Starbursts! Delish! And then played a game of Guesstures where the ladies won!

On Sunday we went to church and then hung out with my side of the family and played the Wii until a small fight broke out involving me and my 9 year old brother. Haha. We had a yummy dinner (Love Sundays) at Blake's parents house with all his siblings and there families and played some Rock Band. Our nephew Barrett is 6 and is so cute playing the drums (he's better then me) but I couldn't put the video up!

On Monday Blake went golfing with his brothers and I was finding/trying on/altering a bridesmaids dress ALL DAY!! But after the headache we got it right and it fits! That night my mom made a delicious dinner and had family over and Blake finally met my grandparents! Wahoo!

Tuesday I had lunch with some friends at Cafe Rio...it was good to catch up, reminise, and laugh!

We had such a good time with everyone we were sad to leave Wednesday. However, we left just when it started to snow! So it was kinda perfect timing!

And then I made this little thing when I was bored one day and wanted to change some things in our living room so I made these chinese symbols and put them in a frame we got as a wedding gift! It stands for Love and Happiness

I've sucked at updating. I don't really know why because I still read everyones blogs but when it came to ours I kept thinking of all the things that I need to blog about and as the days went on, the list got longer, and I continued to push blogging aside. But since Blake is out of town for a few days I'm taking the spare time for a quick update! Blake's basketball season ended and sadly they didn't get into the tournament. But Blake was All Conference again so that was good. :) The day we found out they didn't get in the tournament, Blake's teammate started to split...buncha mamas boys! Haha! That night our bishop took us all out to eat at the Hometown Buffet and after we went back to our place and played games and had our last party with some of the guys! Game night was hilarious! Imagine playing word games with a Japanese guy who doesn't really understand the english language...I got a serious ab workout from laughing that night!

Now that the season is over Blake has been working out and studying alot! We are kinda just playing the waiting game of what schools want him and what schools fit us well. Blake went down to So. Cal a few weekends ago to play in front of a lot of 4 year coaches and then on Tuesday he left to Colorado for an official visit. We have our options we like...we'll see where we end up next year!!! It's all pretty exciting and quite the adventure!

Other then that not much else is going on...I've been working away and the weather here has been beautiful! Mid 70's in March...I can get use to this!

Is anyone else still having trouble writing 2010 down instead of 2009?? I still am...I've been on a blogging haitus for awhile since we have been super busy! A lady in my department moved to another one so we are short a person and the hospital doesn't want to hire on another person. So my friend Christina and I pick up her hours as well as have our normal hours. So I have been working around 100 hours a pay period and well, have been super tired! But I figured I need to jot things down quickly before I get too far behind. Christmas was fun this year with just the two of us. It was super weird to not be with our families but what can you do?? Anyways Christmas Eve we played catch at the park (yeah it was like 70 degrees that day) and then did my family tradition of getting pizza and buffalo wings and watching Christmas movies in our new Christmas p.j's. I had to work that night so before I went Blake's family called so we could play the family Deal or No Deal. Last year we sucked and only won $35 and this year we were determined to make at least $200. The range is from .1 - $1500. And we won $350 :) It was so nerve racking I don't know how the people on the real show handle it. And out amount was not nearly as much! On Christmas we woke up and read from Luke the story of Christs birth and then opened presents! Well the remainig ones since we had opened 2 each before. We're bad when it comes to giving gifts. And then we went to breakfast with his teammate Ryo. I had to work again and then after we went over to our friends Ian and Crystal and had dinner and played games all night! It was fun! On New Year's we had some Chinese for dinner and then went over to another friends house and played games and ate junk food and rang in the new year. New Years Eve

Blake has been busy with basketball and they have won there last 3 games. Reedly (57-55), DeAnza (63-54) , and Gavilan (75-68). Blake went through kind of a slump before but he definitely picked it up the last 2 games with 18 points and then 30+ points in the last one! They are now ranked 14th in the state and have a game tonight against #8 San Jose City.

Anyways that was a quick ramble on whats going on.

MPC All-Tourney/MB Aquarium

Hartnell played in the Monterey Bay Classic tourney December 3-5 and did great. They started off rough losing to Santa Rosa 83-73. Blake had 29 points that game. The next day they played against Santa Barbara and won 102-80 with Blake having 24 points. They made it to the consolation game and won the #4 ranked Los Medanos 67-64 with Blake having 10 points. After the game the tournament director gave Blake an All- Tournament Award! :)

Blake's stats thus far:Games: 8 FG:49 3FG:12 FT:44 Points:154 PPG: 19.3 High Game:29 Hartnell plays this Saturday in Redwoods City against Canada.

Thanksgiving Holiday

Alot has happened in the last week or so and I don't know if I can remember everything...between Blake's school and games and my job we've been busy this last week. Scary to think one day we'll mix kids in there somewhere! Anyways...Blake had a game against the day before Thanksgiving against Skyline and won making there record 5-1 Blake had 20-something points...the paper said 20, the books said 28, and online it said 23 so yeah 20-something. After we went to Denny's for some grub and these 2 clowns walk in...well come in from the kitchen and they were kinda creepy looking but I hate clowns so I would say that. Anyways they went to every table and made balloon animals...and I'm talking like sophisticated ones too!

Blake had a game against Foothill the other day...and I wasn't there but Blake said they all played horrible and they lost, I didn't ask much questions cause he was upset about it (obviously) so they are currently 5-2, but they have the MPC tournament starting today so let hope we have some good games! I also made a blog for Blake's basketball year...you can click on the logo on the sidebar and it will take you to it.
Thanksgiving was spent at the Vasher's again (Blake's coaches house) after I got off of work we headed over there with 2 other guys on the team. The food was delicious and the company was great! I am so thankful for the Vasher family and all they do for us!
The day after Thanksgiving we set up some Christmas decor and our tree! I love it! The pictures don't do justice though!

It was also my birthday that day but I had to work so earlier in the week Blake took me to dinner and to see New Moon and then throughout the week we did other fun stuff. And then the night of my birthday after I got off of work the team and some of there family came over for cake and ice cream! :)

I love this time of year! Basketball season has started and Hartnell basketball is doing awesome...as of right now they are 4-1 and ranked 9th in the north! :) They played Las Positas last week and won 61-52 with Blake having 22 points and then last Saturday they played Merced and won 60-58 with Blake having 17 points! Tonight they play against Skyline...hope it turns out well!
Now my main reason for this post...baking! I don't normally bake...and I never did when I was growing up, it just wasn't my thing, however I do enjoy eating baked goods. Well I, for some reason, wanted to bake everything pumpkin for the last few days. You name it...pumpkin bread, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and muffins, pumpkin roll and then I came upon this yummy recipe by Paula Deen from the Food Network. Try these pumpkin bars...they are delish!

Ingredients
Bars:
4 eggs
1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
15-ounce can pumpkin
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Icing:
8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Using an electric mixer at medium speed, combine the eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin until light and fluffy. Stir together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and mix at low speed until thoroughly combined and the batter is smooth. Spread the batter into a greased 13 by 10-inch baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool completely before frosting. Cut into bars.
To make the icing: Combine the cream cheese and butter in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the sugar and mix at low speed until combined. Stir in the vanilla and mix again. Spread on cooled pumpkin bars.

It's that time of the season...

Wow what a great week! And so busy! We barely had anytime to recover yesterday before the start of this week! On Tuesday the 3rd I flew back to Utah for another day trip! My parents and grandparents picked me up and we went to dinner at Tucanos! Yum! I ate my weight in food...I swear! I had some stuff with my ankles to do the next day and then I spent the rest of the day with my family before I flew back home!
This last weekend was Blake's first games/tournament! It was so fun to watch him play! His parents, his aunt, and two of his brothers flew in and we all stayed in a hotel in Fremont where the tournament was! It was alot of fun and Blake's team took 3rd! Blake played awesome even though he doesn't think he shot well. He averaged 14 pts. overall this weekend! :)

I felt very spoiled this week since I got to see both sides of our family!

Also, on Sunday it was the primary program and it went so well! The kids worked so hard to memorize there parts and all the songs! Since the wards combine for classes (spanish & english) the kids had to learn a song in spanish as well! They sang it beautifully and it brought tears to my eyes! And at the end I shed a tear or two! ;)

Valley Center Bowling is the place to be on Tuesday nights! Such a happenin' place! No...not really but it's $2 Tuesday's and bowling 2 games for the both of us plus shoes is only $12 so in my book thats awesome and will definitely be considered for more date nights! :)

Oakland Baby!

We don't get to go to the temple alot since the Oakland Temple is 2 hours away, our schedules are crazy and are usually different, and we fear our car wont make it and break down!

But Blake didn't have school on Friday and some of his teammates wanted to go so after they had practice we hit the road to the temple! And then after we ate at Olive Garden! Yum! It was great to go to the temple and feel relaxed and away from worldly things! I hope we can make it more of a priority to go back often while we are out here!

The Oakland Temple is soooo b-e-a-utiful! Pictures don't do justice! Blake has a hard time looking at the camera sometimes! Ha!

24 hours in Utah!

I had a doctor's appointment in Utah...so I had to go back for a day! 25 hours and 3 minutes to be EXACT! I was told to plan to be there for most of the day! Well my appointment was in Salt Lake at 10 a.m. and I was out at 10:29 a.m. So much for most of the day! Lucky for me I got to spend the day with my mom and sister shopping and eating yummy Cafe Rio...it's been too long since I had a pork salad! I also found out on my trip that my grandparents were flying in from NZ the same day I was leaving to come to the MTC to serve in the SLC mission! I missed them by an hour! Anyways for being such a short trip I had a great time with my family! I can't wait til my next 24 hour trip in November! Ha!

Also it's conference weekend and I must say even though I had kind of a rough week it was nice to sit and listen to the talks that were given and really feel....almost refreshed? after the first session.I don't know how to explain it... The guidance and counsel the leaders of our church give us is amazing and it just makes you think and realize that petty things in life don't really matter.

I love conference weekend!

School, Work, Play...LIFE!

I haven't really given a recent update on what's been going on with our lil' family here in good ole Salinas! First off, Blake started school ( as did everyone else) and has a tough year ahead of him! Not only is he taking 18 credits (which includes anatomy and math...yikes) but he has been up every morning at 6 to go lift before school with the team and/or shoot, then go to school, and then they have like a 2-3 hour practice afterwards and then comes home to study!! Needless to say, the boy is pooped at the end of the day and definitely looks forward to the weekends! The team this year looks great (as the hubs would say) I don't see them play but they are a great bunch of kids! I say kids because I am actually considered "old" to them...they are fresh out of highschool some/most of them...which boggles my mind 'cause we have been out for 4 years! Blake is the oldest on the team and there are only 2 other guys there his age! There are alot of old man jokes going around! Blake said he thinks they will be very good this year and that everyone has a "team" mind frame so that will be a nice change! They are all really fun to be around and we've had some good times with them!

I have been super busy with work, working all kinds of shifts!! It's been crazy! Besides working I am preparing to launch my new online company called Paper Moon Crafts with a fellow friend where we are doing vinyl lettering wall art...really you can put vinyl lettering where ever you want since it can go on any flat surface! Later on we will expand it to more things but we are sticking with this for now. As of right now I am just making a bunch of samples and building/finishing up our website which will be posted up here any day now! It's a fun side job and since I love doing crafts it's enjoyable work! It's been keeping me busy and so if I'm not at work...I am at home working on business stuff!

On Friday we went to dinner at IHop and then to the Hartnell girls volleyball game, which they won, yay! They are 4-0 and so I am sure we will go more to there games...also we like harrassing the line ref's (his teammates)!! :) Saturday we hosted a woffle ball game at our park (not technically ours but we just say it is) "Oldies" vs. "the young guns" and after going into extra innings "the young guns" came back and won by one! I am not as competitve as I once was since I can't participate as aggressively but I am not a good loser! Ha! It was a lot of fun! I wish I had pictures! Then we went back to our place and I made taco soup and a bunch of treats and watched the BYU game...sad loss ( I didn't see the end of it since I had work but Blake said it was the worst game he had seen in BYU history and that the defense sucked!) but I have faith that the Cougs will bounce right back!

Newst project I made! I wanted something simple to decorate my small kitchen with and found the perfect thing! I love how it turned out!

You might have noticed this lil guy in the picture above....I found this clothes pin at Beverly's Fabrics and decoupaged it with some left over scrapbooking paper and added some ribbon and buttons and viola...it's a recipe holder! Thanks Mel for the idea!

I'm starting a small online business soon (hopefully) so I can do vinyl wall sayings and such (when I do I will for sure post more about it)...anyways I've finally started playing around with it and it's so fun! What a beautiful way to start the season!

Alot has happened in the last week and I have been working so much that I haven't had time to just sit down, relax, and update our blog! :) Thank goodness for a day off!

First and foremost it was Blake's 23rd birthday on the 21st!! In the morning I made him a yummy breakfast before going to school! While he was at school I cleaned our house, decorated it, and made his birthday cake!!

It's not Cake Boss quality but I did my best! And it was yummy!!
After school and practice we met guys from his team from this year and some from last for dinner at Chili's. I think the workers at Chili's were so shocked to see so many tall, white guys all together!

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Tonight we went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with our ward and some of Blake's teammates! It was so much fun! It's basically a Lagoon on the beach! It's a beautiful scene! I love Cali! And the best part was that all the rides were 75 cents!! And you could get hot dogs, drinks, and cotton candy for that much as well! It was rad!!

Funny story about the bumper cars...when we were in line some kid was behind us and Blake started talking smack about coming after him on the ride...so I stuck up for the small tike and told Blake to leave him alone. Anyways we get in our cars and start going and hitting into other cars and this kid who was behind us keeps coming after me and giving me this look like "yeah thats right I got you" after he'd hit me and I'm like wtf child. Ha. After we get out at the end I see the kid give Blake a thumbs up!! And Blake tells me they made a pact to come after me!! Ha. It's was funnier then it sounds but thats what I get for sticking up for some random child!

We've been really busy and I have been too lazy upload our photos! These pictures are in random order!

We have been busy this summer and it actually hasn't felt like summer to me! I have been working alot and Blake was going to school and then reffing highschool basketball games Tuesday and Thursday (which he is so glad is over!)So we were always on the go!

We also started watching 24...and now we are obssessed! We love Jack Bauer!

We celebrated our one year anniversary on the 31st of July this year since on the 2nd we would be enroute to our parents houses! I can't believe its been one year! It has been so fun being married and each day I love Blake more and more! (awh tender!) Since we had such a busy summer we decided we wanted to just relax that day and then we went shopping :) I love shopping! And then to dinner at PF Chang's! Yum! And more shopping! It was sweet! :)

The next day we took our much needed/anticipated trip to Utah! We flew into Vegas and Blake's parents picked us up. They bought another house in Hurricane a few months back that we hadn't seen so we stayed there! The house is sweet! And we can't wait for the basement to be finished because of the sweet theatre room! Mostly I think the guys are more stoked to watch football in there!

Anyways we got to good old Santaquin and we got to see our family and friends! I loved relaxing there and catching up with everyone. It was so good to see everyone and if we missed you we're sorry! Hopefully next trip back we can meet up with you!

It was so hot outside! I had to pull my hair up right when we walked out there!

McKay and his baby Malie...she is the best baby EVER... I barely even heard her whimper the whole day! She is a happy and fun baby! I hope we get blessed with good babies like her!

Sam with his dad and grandpa....I don't know if I mentioned before but they are from England so they added some of there traditions in the wedding...like wearing kilts. It was sweet!

New Things, New Beginings

There is alot that has happened recently! On Wednesday we flew to Arizona to be at this cute couples wedding in the Mesa Temple!

I have alot of pictures from the wedding but have yet to download them! Sam and Leslie are a great couple and we were so happy to be there for there special day! Sam asked Blake to be his best man! Sam and Blake were companions on the mission for about 4 1/2 months! And one of there other companions/roommates ,McKay, had the brilliant idea to have Sam write his sister! So they wrote for nine months and 7 months after the mission they got hitched!! I'll be posting pictures soon!

Next my sister Keila graduated from high school! Blake and I couldn't be there:( I had a nervous break down about it the night before in AZ. There was some miscommunication in the dates and she thought she was actually graduating the 29th instead of the 28th(day of the AZ wedding) so we missed it! :( We are so proud of her and all her accomplishments this far in life and can't wait to see what the future has in store for her! We love you KK, wish we could be there!

Kyle and Carlene had there baby girl earlier this month. We have yet to meet the new addition to our family. They named her Lydia Ruth Francom, she's the 9th of the nieces and nephews!

And I started a new book the other day! It's so good I recommend it to everyone...maybe more girls then guys!

Thats it for now! We have more to post from the wedding and other fun stuff! Cali is great...the weather is beautiful and we are lovin' it! Blake takes his finals this next week and then starts his summer semester of classes afew weeks after! And I am just working away at the hospital!!

My daddy!!

Happy Birthday Dad!!!

If you don't know...I am a daddy's girl...I even have earrings that say it!

My dad is the greatest dad EVER!!

A few reasons why my dad is the BOMB!

-He has taught me so much in my life and has help mold me into the young lady I am today!

-He's such a hard worker but he never let his job get in the way of him being to EVERY softball game I had whether it was a home game or I was traveling to another state to play!

-He's supported me through everything!

-He will do anything for his family...

-He's a worthy preisthood holder

-He always made time for everyone in our family.

-He's a buff guy...and guys I use to date were intimidated by him...little did they know he's a big teddy bear.

There are a ton of reasons why my dad is such a great dad! But that would be a VERY LONG post! I'm very grateful for my dad and everything he has done for me. I can't wait til I have lil babes who will appreciate and love him as much as I do!!

X-MEN ORIGINS: Wolverine

If you don't know Blake is a big X-Men fan. He use to watch the cartoons as a young tike and has seen all the movies...so when he saw that Wolverine was coming out he was pretty stoked. I however have never watched X-Men but said we could go see the movie even though I didn't have much interest and I loved the movie!! It was sooo good! The movie did a good job setting you up for the first X-Men movie:) When we got home we had dinner and watched the end of the Celtics vs. Bulls game and then, being a new fan, we watched the first X-Men movie! We bought the movies in the summer but never watched them...I told Blake that for our Sunday movie tomorrow we could watch the second one... :D

Blake is taking a photography class...and he's really good. He took this for his self portrait..I really like it!

Since it's been really warm outside we've been playing alot of waffle ball(sp?). We are so good!! :) Did you expect anything less? :D Jk. (kinda) It would be more fun if we didn't have to play against each other...so if you're ever in the neighborhood...haha (since most everyone who reads this blog is in Utah) come challenge us! I look sick in this picture...all sweaty and red..ugh.

The Oakland temple...is soooo beautiful!! I never realized how blessed I was in Utah to have temples so close to me. The Oakland temple is 2 hours away from us and in that time in Utah I believe you can go to about 7!! Its been hard with both our schedules to go as much as we'd like but its always so nice to go and feel at peace and leave worldly issues behind!

Yes...Keeping Up with the Kardashians. :D I broke the news to Blake today and well... I think I saw a tear haha. Blake hates these kind of reality shows (i.e. The Hills, Rock of Love Bret Michaels..etc.) I think he prays I get over them ASAP. Yes they are kinda fake and who really cares to watch someones life but for some reason if I sit down and watch one episode...then I have to watch them all. Anyways...I have some catching up to do since the show has been on for awhile.

I've noticed when I am blog stalking that if you have the "traffic gadget" on your page it says that someone from Washington D.C. has visited your page through mine...well that's actually me...I have no clue why it says that when we aren't from there and the only association we have with D.C. is that's where Blake served his mission. Anyways just wanted to post that so no one thought some creepo was stalking them from across the country. Also if you do have that gadget you may notice that I do visit your page alot...which is true...any day I work...I look at blogs since I'm at a computer for 8 hours! :D

Yesterday (April 1st) was suppose to be full of jokes and laughing; unfortunately it turned out to be the complete opposite for us! Boo! After a graveyard shift and returning home at 7 a.m. (after being awake for over 24 hours) I tried to sleep but was awaken by an angry phone call which..lame led to a series of unfortunate events...just a lil too personal to post online...haha! Being so upset and not really being able to do much about it my sweet hubby comforted me :) before he left for basketball! Little did we know it was a bad day for him as well and after going up for a lay-up he came down on Tyler's foot! And received...dun dun dun...a very pretty sprained ankle! The picture below isn't his foot though...(thank you google) his is much worse and it looks like a softball is in place of the little bump on that ankle! Yeah! :( When he came home I thought it was an April Fools joke til I saw his ankle!
After going back to work I came home and found out that we had to pay $182 to say we live in California! Yes you heard right...if you live here more then 10 days (including people just coming for school and then leaving asap...us! and the cars that are your parents..yes us!!)you have to pay it and also get a CA license and register your cars!
$182+registering/license for two=LAME!!Yay!! It's part of our to-do list this coming week!

Well I couldn't handle the excitement anymore so I took a quick trip to the local grocery store and bought: Ibuprofen (for my headache and Blake's ankle), Honey Teddy Grahams, and Peanut Butter Cup ice cream to eat as a pick-me-up while watching one of our fave show's American Idol...which by the way I am glad Meaghan Joy is gone! And The Real World- Brooklyn.

So as Savannah had said in a previous post it was a no good, horrible, very bad day!

But don't worry I am much better today and Blake was moving around the house today...I just wanted to vent! Haha! But other then yesterday we are doing great! Work is keeping me busy and school has Blake busy as well! And all though we had a bad day we know we have been and are very blessed! We are so grateful for everything we have, our families, our genuine friends, and eachother! Hope everyone is doing s(th)uper!:)

Graveyards and Long Beach

I'm still in [training] at the hospital (one week left) and now I'm training on the grave yard shift...oddly enough I kind of like this shift, except it can get pretty slow at times. When I start school again it wont be a bad time to study! I was smart tonight though and brought our video ipod to watch movies so it wont drag like last night!Over the weekend Blake and I took a trip to Long Beach. My family came from Utah and we met at my aunt and uncle's house! It was so much fun! Friday night we went to a chinese buffet and it was super yummy! And then we all stayed up late talking! Blake and I even told my family I was pregnant.....but don't worry I'm not, it was just a trick! Haha! The next morning Blake and I were suppose to go to the L.A . temple (a very early session) but from staying up late I was in no shape to get up...oops! But it gives us a reason to go back down soon! My cousin, Troy Jr. had a polynesian dance competition on Saturday at CSU-Long Beach and it was freakin' sweet! It's sad that I don't know how to do any of the dancing...I'm the only kid in my family who doesn't actually dance. But anyways his high school competed against a bunch of high school's in the Long Beach area and after all was said and done...they took 2nd place! YAY! "Millikin U-NO!" The weekend was nice and relaxing and it was great to see family! My parents totally spoiled us!! Thanks mom and dad! WE LOVE YOU!!!

February Festivities!

~I have been horrible posting pictures and giving updates on the Francom's~
February was super busy for us and it flew by! It's weird that it's already March!! I feel like yesterday we were celebrating New Year's!!
Anyways....some things that kept us busy in February...

Blake had/is in school...so he stays busy with homework and what not and is a great student :) I'm so proud!
I was/am working...not alot :( but it kept me busy enough.
Enjoyed late nights at Denny's (til 3 a.m.) with Cam and Chris (teammates).
FHE a.k.a "Yound Adult Meeting :D" every Monday night...which consisted of alot of fun, food, and Red box movie night!
Our church callings...Blake is the Gospel Essentials teacher and I teach the Valiant 11 year olds and Activity Day girls...yeah that keeps us on our toes!
We got FREE Grandslams at Denny's (the Tuesday after the Superbowl) twice in one day....yes, it was awesome!
The AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach (golf tourny with pro's and celebs and what not) Since I work at Pebble I got to see the action and meet some really sweet people like: Bill Murray, who yes is hilarious in real life and he gave me and my friend Nora his golf ball (super sweet!), Justin Timberlake, Ray Ramono, Kevin James (King of Queens), George Lopez, and Kenny G. There's alot more and I will post pictures when I get around to it!
Utah State vs. Fresno State....Yes, we went to watch Blake's buddy, and I'm sure most of yours, Tyler Newbold play! It was alot of fun! The game was awesome and it was great to see him! Oh and Utah State won! GO AGGIES!!
I had an interview for a new job at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital....intense! Not because I didn't like my job at Pebble (I loved it there!!) but because they had to cut hours :( so I was working like 2 days a week...that wont pay the bills. YES!! I got the job....and it's great...it's literally 5 minutes from my house! :) and I'm on-call at Pebble still! :)
Nate and Jan came to visit!! Woot! Woot! It was so good to see them! We miss hanging out with them!! But it is hard to date a couple from a different state..haha. They got to see Blake play in his last game of the season, the guys got to golf at one of Pebble Beaches courses, Spanish Bay, while Jan and I ate lunch there and went window shopping looking at expensive clothes we'd never buy...though some were cute! We went to Cannery Row too and did more window shopping and went into the coolest store...Candy Land :)
Blake finished his basketball season :( averaging 15 points a game:) It was a great season and alot of fun to watch him play! He was also named "First Team All Conference" :D Yeah...thats my man! (Yes I am bragging...sorry!)

Anyways...that pretty much sums up February...I left out things here and there but thats whats been going on in the life of the Francom's! So...Blake's teammate Ian and his now wife, Crystal decided to jump the gun in November and get married the day after Thanksgiving. (They were actually planning on getting married later this year after the baby was born in April) With 2 1/2 weeks of planning before the big day they asked me to take pictures! They got married at Lover's Point right by the beach and it was beautiful, unfortunately right after the ceremony it was freezing and gloomy and after all the group pictures Ian and Crystal couldn't take many more because she was scared she'd get sick and thats bad for the baby ( look at her cute belly) anyways it was alot of fun and I hope you enjoy the pics!

The Month of December...busy, busy!

WARNING!!! **LONG POST....BUT TONS OF PICTURES...ENJOY!!**

This is our Christmas tree, we didn't have one and I whined that it didn't feel like Christmas so my awesome in-laws got me one! It was so fun to decorate!!
I needed to pick up a few hours for work so I helped in the floral department with Christmas decorations...we made a gingerbread town...lots of work and alot of fun! I also helped with one of the huge tree's and made centerpieces for a huge convention at Pebble Beach. I give the floral/design dept. props for all they do!
Paul, Ruth, and Dorrine...they were here for Blake's MPC tournament. Before one of the games we spent a fews hours in Monterey, it was loads of fun! I love when they come into town!!
In the MPC tourny they won first consolation, or however you spell it, in this picture I swear the ref. hit Blake's butt!!

We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, it was so much fun, we loved the sea otters, they were so fun and cute, the penguins were a let down though. The aquarium was huge and there were tons of different things to look at and learn!

In part of the aqaurium you can hold/touch different creatures...ha...so of course I'm holding a star fish, there were a bunch of other things I touched but I can't remember the names.

That night Blake had a game, they lost but Blake played well and had like 20 points:). Anyways after the game we celebrated Clint's birthday at Chevy's and had yummy mexican food!!

Dec. 18-20 Blake's team was in the Kris Kringle Tournament in Santa Rosa (about 2 1/2 hours away from our home, so we all stayed in a hotel there). Blake took a snap shot of us driving there, Heath and Bec are in the back seat. The tournament was so much fun!! Blake's team did so well and made it to the championship game, they lost, which was sad. But at the awards ceremony two people from Blake's team got an "All Tournament Award"...can you guess who they were??? Blake!! And Heath!! They played great!! Yes, I am bragging but I am so proud!! I didn't take any pictures because I got so into the games!! Sorry!

While we were in Santa Rosa we had time to kill since the championship game was at 8 p.m. and we had to check out of our hotel at 11 a.m. so Blake, Heath, Bec, Clint, Ryo, and I took a trip to San Francisco (about 45 minutes away) to look at the sites and what not.

If you look close enough you can see the Golden Gate bridge behind us!

The day after the tourny we flew home to be with our families over the holidays! It was so great to see them and our friends!! It was a short trip but I am so glad we were able to go back! This is my niece Charlotte on Christmas Eve, she's a doll!

On Christmas Eve, Blake's Aunt Dorrine has a Christmas party with Santa Claus and everything. It was so much fun! Look at all this sweet shwag we got from the secret santa game!!

This is my nephew Eli, he's so adorable!! I hadn't seen him in 5 months so I held him all night!! He's grown so much, all of the little kids have!

After being with Blake's family on Christmas Eve we went and stayed at my parents house so we'd be there Christmas morning! My lil brother Hunter woke up at 2 a.m.!! He was so excited for Santa to come! He woke us up at about 6:30 and told us we needed to hurry and get up to open presents, and we were burning daylight! Like Nikki, I am amazed that young kids say phrases like that, even if they have no idea what it means! Ha! For some reason we didn't take pictures, but it was alot of fun to be there with the little kids watching them open presents! Our Christmas holiday in Utah was so fun but we were sad to leave so early! But it's nice to be out of the snow!! It was great to spend my first Christmas with Blake as a married couple and to be with the people we love the most!

2. What kind of car did you drive? Hmm...well I didn't start driving til my junior year, due to the fact that thats when I was 16 but I drove my sweet silver "beetle" haha, those who know about that will laugh, and then my senior year the "beetle" passed away and so I drove the blue grandma car, def. not as fun as my "beetle"
3. Did you pass your driver's license test your first try? Sure did, boy was that an experience! On my driving test a bloody snow plow hit my drivers side mirror!

Thanksgiving & my 21st birthday!

So yesterday was Thanksgiving and also my 21st birthday! And I was a little bummed out because Blake and I weren't able to go back to Utah to spend Thanksgiving with our families. And even worse I had to work! :( While having my own pity party I had time to think about the things I am grateful for.
First, my wonderful amazing husband Blake who is my rock and who I have grown even closer to since we have been married and out here in Cali. by ourselves. He has done so much for me and he is so patient with me even when I take things out on him when he hasn't done anything to me. I've been so very blessed to have him as my husband and I am indeed very grateful for him and all that he does.
Next would be both of our families! They are both amazing and they always show us so much love and support. They have helped shape us into the people Blake and I are today.
Our wonderful friends would be next, the ones we left in Utah, and the ones we've made here in California. And like our families they have given us so much support and their friendship means to the world to us.
The next on my list would be the Vasher family, who we spent Thanksgiving with and the family who always has there doors open to Blake and I and the team for that matter. They truly care for us and it meant so much to me when they had us over yesterday. They even had a birthday sash for me to wear. :) We had so much fun with them and since we couldn't have Thanksgiving with our own families we definitely had the next best thing! :D

Finally, for my 21st birthday, Blake knew I was pretty sad that I couldn't be with my little sister Keila (pic. below) who I always share my birthday with, her birthday is the 26th, she turned 18 and since 18 and 21 is suppose to be a big deal it was hard for us to be apart since we never have been. But having Blake with me was great and he made my birthday special, out of everything he gave me, I loved the card the most, it meant so much to me and it made me cry! Haha! I'm a baby! But overall I did have a good birthday and I'm glad I was able to spend it with the people I was with!

A recent updated picture of my wonderful husband and me! We took this snapshot right before Blake left for his basketball game! He's all scruffy! I don't remember who he played but they won and it was so much fun to watch him play!

One of Blake's teammates, Ian, had his 20th birthday and his fiance Crystal put together a surprise birthday for him at the bowling alley! It was so much fun we had tons of pizza, buffalo wings (yum!), and a bunch of crazy/ fun guys from the team. Good times with the boys!

So basketball season has started and it has been great watching Blake play basketball! He has been starting, which is awesome, and is doing an awesome job in his games! :) The team so far is looking good! It's hard for me to take pictures and watch the game so I usually just watch the game! Ha! But I will try and be better and get more pictures!

We also went to Yosemite in September but I didn't have my camera with me but hopefully I can get some pictures from some of the guys! Coach Vasher and his family took the team and me up there and it was absolutely beautiful there. It was a long car ride but we went hiking and had lunch and it was so much fun!

Well I faintly remember meeting him in middle school but when I had actually talked to him it was in the 9th grade when he was "going out" with one of my friends...ha! But we were only friends and didn't start dating til the end of our senior year.

#17 What do you admire most about him?

I admire alot about him, he's my best friend, and someone who I look up to alot...and not just because he is 6'5 but because he is a great man. I love how passionate is about things, his strong testimony, and how he makes me want to be a better person, I could go on and on...he's the cheese to my macaroni! :)

Besides being with me? Playing/watching sports...and playing the playstation haha!
