Our princess arrived August 20th at 4:20 p.m. I was due Sunday the 19th and up until then I hadn't had any contractions. On Sunday, I was having them but they weren't painful and they were 15 minutes apart. I went to church and got a ton of pity looks and comments which annoyed me more then anything but I put a smile on my face. Later on we had friends over for cake for Blake's birthday and watched Hunger Games, during the movie my contractions got to 5 minutes apart so at 11 p.m. we went to L&D to get monitored. I was still at a 3 and 70% thinned out and they sent me home at 2 a.m. I couldn't sleep cause the contractions got stronger but got up at 6:30 to make lunch for Blake since it was the first day of school/student teaching. After he left I started cleaning to stay busy until my doctors appointment at 10 but by 9 my contractions started to really hurt and I thought my water broke so I called Blake and drove to the hospital, not very smart when in labor but luckily I live close and got there safely. Once I got there they checked me and said I was at a 5. Blake got there, I got a blessing, and I got my FIRST, yes first, epidural when I was at a 6. I say first because it didn't work and I went to a 10 which nada, let's just say it was not pleasant and I'm sure my friend Erica who was there with us may never have kids because she saw/heard the pain I was in. The doctor gave me my second epidural and life was good after. I couldn't feel a thing and since I was at a 10 they decided to just let baby's head descend furthur down itself and I napped for a hour waiting for my mom and Keila to arrive. They got there and 10 minutes later I started pushing and 20 minutes later our sweet girl arrived! My friend Erica did birth story pics for me and I can't wait to see them. Until then...some pics from my phone.2

.::39 Weeks::.
How far along? 39 Weeks & 4 Days, Holy Moly! Baby is the size of a mini melon...and so are my ankles from the water retention! Haha.
Total weight gain: 29 lbs.
Stretch marks? Yep
Sleep: The usual
Best moment this week: Going to my doctors appointment and hearing that I am dialated to a 3 and 70% effaced :-)Miss Anything? Sleeping on my tummy
Movement: She still moves a lot!
Food cravings: Nothing really in particular
Symptoms: Retaining water! Braxton Hicks (not painful), and nether region pressure (a little bothersome/painful)
Labor Signs: I guess..contractions, but nothing consistent
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Meeting this baby and holding her in our arms!!!
I started making headband stuff to decorate Miss K's head with. These are just a few that I made.
We went to the David Nail concert here in GJ with some friends. It was fun, even though we didn't really know his songs, people watching was the best. At first baby was scaling the walls of my stomach cause I think the noise freaked her out but after the second song she just started kicking to the beat.
I don't know if I mentioned before that my dad left for Kenya last Thursday for a humanitarian trip with his job. The stopped in Paris for a day or two before heading to Kenya! The pictures he has sent are amazing, I am pretty jealous. When he was booking his trip with the travel agent he told her to make his itinerary like the rest of the people in his group, finding out later that they had decided to stay a few extra days for a safari trip and not coming back until August 25th and potentially missing the birth of his first grand baby. I have prepared myself to go late with this pregnancy since it is my first and I haven't had any complications but for some reason earlier this week I was really weepy knowing that my dad could miss this. I am super close to him and even though he wouldn't be in the delivery room or anything it still makes me sad. We will see how my body progresses but like I mentioned earlier I am dialated to a 3 already and pretty thinned out. Come Monday, I will see what the next step is, unless I go into labor before. Luckily, I know either way my dad will see her very shortly after birth, so in reality, all is fine. :-)

Total weight gain: 28 lbs.
Stretch marks? Yes
Sleep: ...
Best moment this week: Being with family in Utah, doctors appointment
Miss Anything? The usual...sleep, sleeping on my belly, energy, sleepMovement: Apparently she is suppose to start slowing down....she hasn't :) And I think she likes hitting my hip bone and throwing me off when I am walking!
Food cravings: Carbs & sugar....yayy!
Symptoms: Sore hips & shoulders from sleeping on my side all night and sometimes she sits on my sciatic nerve so I will have a dead leg. Oh and I am retaining water now...yayy!
Labor Signs: A few contractions here and there but nothing to think that I will have this child anytime soon.

Looking forward to: Meeting our baby girl in a couple weeks! Eek!! :-)
The Wall-olympics! I sat with tthis sweet girl to give her mama a break!
We celebrated 4 years of marriage on August 2nd! I had to work until 5:30 so we went to dinner after at Red Lobster and did the 'four course meal' since it seemed appropriate and then since there is nothing to do in Grand Junction but see a movie, go hiking, or play mini golf, we chose mini golf. I told Blake too bad we didn't go golfing cause then we could hit the ball and yell "four" haha, I thought it was clever! We are starting this year of marriage off with a lot of exciting things! :-)
A bowl of yummy ice cream! I had to work from 7-5:30 p.m. and then had a Stats final at 6 one night...I was so tired after and indulged on some of this yumminess!
Breakfast at One Man Band with some besties. I didn't eat all of this food, I just wanted to taste all of it :-)
