.::2 Months Old & Halloween::.

Life in the Francom home is busy!!
My sister Keila moved out here to be Keilani's nanny while I go back to work. My second day back to work I put my 30 day notice in. So I will be done working November 17th! :) We will be moving back to Utah in December when Blake's semester is over! We are soooo excited!! After 4 years living out or state, we will be back! So from now until then (and probably a little after) we will be very busy finishing work, school, and moving!
Blake is enjoying student teaching and coaching the 7th grade boys basketball team. He is currently in an elementary school and likes it a lot but still prefers secondary education.
I realized the night before I went back to work that I was becoming a full time mom & wife, student, and employee and almost had a panic attack. It's kind of an adjustment since I am at work for 10 hours a day and when I get home I just want to spend time with my family. I am lucky to have Keila here, she is such a HUGE help in our household and such a good aunty and nanny to Keilani!
Keilani is almost a 11 weeks old! Time has flown by since she has been born. Being a mother is honestly the most rewarding job and I love it so much! She has been such a joy in our lives and we love her so much!
I apologize ahead of time for these pictures and format...it is very difficult on my phone and it wouldn't let me write under some pictures and the quality on some isn't so great...like this first one!
My munchkins 2 month stats
Height: 24 in. long- 96%
Weight: 11 lbs. 1 oz.- 38%
Head: 15 3/4 in.- 90%
She is basically rockin' it as a two month old. Dr. Holliday said to feed her more because she is so tall and her weight didn't have time to catch up haha. And this piglet is loving eating more!
I'm so lucky to be her mom!

First time in her bumbo! She loves it! She likes sitting up and being apart of every conversation. She's already a social butterfly!
Morning nap with uncle Hunter :)
Sitting in the mother's lounge after her feeding at church
She loves tummy time! This was last night 11/1/12 just before she rolled over, we wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke so we put her back on her belly and recorded it. (10 weeks old)

Getting ready for our Sunday walk

Ready for church...she was sleepy!

Going to visit daddy at Orchard Mesa Middle School to meet his students and other teachers.

My baby the skunk! Such a cutie! We went to Frightmares at Lagoon and she wore her costume and just chilled (not literally, it was a super nice day) with us! On Halloween we had Angie & Colton over and ate Taco Soup and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and had Butter Beer Harry Potter style minus the Rum. Colton dressed up as a "nerd", Angie was a G.I. Joe, and Keila wore a 12 year olds Spiderman costume and they took Keilani trick or treating while Blake and I delivered some cookies to the families he home teaches. People thought they were a little family together. It was so funny! And since Keila had the mask on she looked like there kid also. We got some great pictures of them on the camera but since I am on my phone....I don't have them.

My friend Leslie did this sketch... I totally love it!
And she did it in a ton of different styles for me :)
You can buy a copy for yourself (of course not of my family) here!

.::Pics My Phone Beholds::.

This girl makes my heart melt! I'm so not looking forward to going back to work on Monday. If you didn't see my status on Facebook I found out my work schedule changed last minute...before I left on maternity leave I was working day shift Wednesday thru Saturday and I was told that's what I would have when I come back and when I called my boss a couple weeks ago I was told the same thing but when I called this week they told me it changed. For example I work 2 day shifts and then the next 3 days I work swing shifts ending at 12:30 am. I'm so frustrated and honestly bawled my eyes out. I don't understand how people don't think that throwing me around shift to shift wouldn't be hard on me and my baby. Let's just say....this job won't be hard to quit at all when I'm given the opportunity! Anyways...enjoy some pictures of my Lani Bears :)

Keilani's Views on the 1st Month of Life

Hey guys! Keilani here to report on my first month of life! Mom has been busy taking care of my cuteness, doing the whole stay at home mom/wife thing, and doing school, so I decided to take over and update this blog for her. I have to say, life outside the womb is pretty stellar. I should mention that mom said I was 19.5 inches when I was born, little did she know, that dang student nurse who basically dropped me on that cold tray didn't straighten my leg out when she measured me. Luckily, two days after we left the hospital Dr. Holliday's nurse re-measured me and confirmed that I'm not a shorty and that I was 21 inches... Boom baby.
Life at home is good. Mom gets to stay home with me while dad does his student teaching during the day. Mom and dad think I'm basically the most awesome baby in the world, I can't blame them, cause I agree. When I "talk" or smile, mom and dad get all up in my grill and smother me with kisses and pictures. I can't blame them that they love me so much, I mean I'm a chill baby, I'm a good eater, and I sleep 6 to 8 hours straight at night. I thought life was awesome with these two but then we went to Utah for the weekend so I could meet my papa and my aunts and uncles and those guys just spoiled me with love and gifts. I also got newborn pictures done which was alright but the constant changing of outfits was ridiculous. Let's see what else... I didn't like being swaddled until 2 weeks ago... I let mom know I'm ready for it by being fussy. Bath time is a good time, I enjoy the hot tub like feeling until the parentals feel like torturing me and taking me out. I eat like a champ! And lucky for them I can nurse from mom and take a bottle like a boss. I guess that's why I'm already 10 ell bees at a month old.
Anyways, I'll leave you with some cute pictures of me while I go nap it up and spread my cuteness to the people of Grand Junction, lucky them! :-)
