.::39 Weeks::.

How far along? 39 Weeks & 4 Days, Holy Moly! Baby is the size of a mini melon...and so are my ankles from the water retention! Haha.
Total weight gain: 29 lbs.
Stretch marks? Yep
Sleep: The usual
Best moment this week: Going to my doctors appointment and hearing that I am dialated to a 3 and 70% effaced :-)
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my tummy
Movement: She still moves a lot!
Food cravings: Nothing really in particular
Symptoms: Retaining water! Braxton Hicks (not painful), and nether region pressure (a little bothersome/painful)
Labor Signs: I guess..contractions, but nothing consistent
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Meeting this baby and holding her in our arms!!!

I started making headband stuff to decorate Miss K's head with. These are just a few that I made.
We went to the David Nail concert here in GJ with some friends. It was fun, even though we didn't really know his songs, people watching was the best. At first baby was scaling the walls of my stomach cause I think the noise freaked her out but after the second song she just started kicking to the beat.

I don't know if I mentioned before that my dad left for Kenya last Thursday for a humanitarian trip with his job. The stopped in Paris for a day or two before heading to Kenya! The pictures he has sent are amazing, I am pretty jealous. When he was booking his trip with the travel agent he told her to make his itinerary like the rest of the people in his group, finding out later that they had decided to stay a few extra days for a safari trip and not coming back until August 25th and potentially missing the birth of his first grand baby. I have prepared myself to go late with this pregnancy since it is my first and I haven't had any complications but for some reason earlier this week I was really weepy knowing that my dad could miss this. I am super close to him and even though he wouldn't be in the delivery room or anything it still makes me sad. We will see how my body progresses but like I mentioned earlier I am dialated to a 3 already and pretty thinned out. Come Monday, I will see what the next step is, unless I go into labor before. Luckily, I know either way my dad will see her very shortly after birth, so in reality, all is fine. :-)

.::38 Weeks & Retaining Water::.

How far along? 38 Weeks
Total weight gain: 28 lbs.
Stretch marks? Yes
Sleep: ...
Best moment this week: Being with family in Utah, doctors appointment
Miss Anything? The usual...sleep, sleeping on my belly, energy, sleep
Movement: Apparently she is suppose to start slowing down....she hasn't :) And I think she likes hitting my hip bone and throwing me off when I am walking!
Food cravings: Carbs & sugar....yayy!
Symptoms: Sore hips & shoulders from sleeping on my side all night and sometimes she sits on my sciatic nerve so I will have a dead leg. Oh and I am retaining water now...yayy!
Labor Signs: A few contractions here and there but nothing to think that I will have this child anytime soon.
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Meeting our baby girl in a couple weeks! Eek!! :-)

Sunday nap time with my kitty, Buddy, and Makenna

The Wall-olympics! I sat with tthis sweet girl to give her mama a break!

We celebrated 4 years of marriage on August 2nd! I had to work until 5:30 so we went to dinner after at Red Lobster and did the 'four course meal' since it seemed appropriate and then since there is nothing to do in Grand Junction but see a movie, go hiking, or play mini golf, we chose mini golf. I told Blake too bad we didn't go golfing cause then we could hit the ball and yell "four" haha, I thought it was clever! We are starting this year of marriage off with a lot of exciting things! :-)
A bowl of yummy ice cream! I had to work from 7-5:30 p.m. and then had a Stats final at 6 one night...I was so tired after and indulged on some of this yumminess!

Breakfast at One Man Band with some besties. I didn't eat all of this food, I just wanted to taste all of it :-)
We said goodbye to our besties the Quist's since they are moving to Virginia this weekend. We really stink at taking pics but I hurried and snapped this pic before our card game was over. We are so excited for them and the law school journey they are about to embark on. Love you guys! We'll see ya at Christmas!!

.::36 Weeks::.

How far along? 36 Weeks & 4 Days!

Total weight gain: 25lbs.
Stretch marks? Yep
Sleep: ...
Best moment this week: 36 week appointment & hearing her heartbeat, seeing The Dark Knight Rises & having dinner at Olive Garden, and buying a new car, that was actually good, then stressful (doing the paperwork & financing) and then good when all was said and done!
Miss Anything? Having energy and not needing help getting out of bed in the middle of the night
Movement: Lots of it! One night laying on the couch she stuck her foot clear out and we could literally grab it, it was weird and awesome at the same time! :)
Food cravings: Anythig not healthy for you is what I want to eat, I don't give in all the time, but still want it!
Symptoms: Had another leg cramp early Sunday morning, hip and nether region aches, ya know pressure from her head and all.
Labor Signs: None, that I know of. I read peoples blogs or comments on Facebook and swear I'm either getting nothing or I am just delusional and mark off little aches and pains as normal and not braxton hicks or anything. My doctor thinks it's the latter which I hope she's right.
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, except thinking about working from 10a-8:30p.m for two days almost made me cry...and call into work and just go back to Utah early.
Looking forward to: Going to Utah Thursday night, seeing friends and family, my baby shower on Saturday! And of course, meeting this sweet girl soon! :)

I have been thinking alot this last week or so about how I actually enjoy pregnancy. I have been extremely lucky that it's really been a cake walk. But also I LOVE having this baby with me at all times and feeling her move all around. Blake has been BEYOND and I mean BEYOND amazing while I am pregnant. I come home and the house is clean and dinner is about ready. If I am tired he always has me lay down (I feel lazy when I do cause he is doing stuff that I could do) and just chill. He's always comforting when I have a down day and does whatever he can to cheer me up. He listens to my crazy ideas for things I want/need/don't really need but think I do for me, baby, or him and sometimes goes with it or brings me back to earth and helps me realize if I don't need certain things haha. He always encourages me to workout cause he knows how important it is to me to do so and try and stay healthy for this baby, without his encouragement I would have done A LOT worse and probably be in a crummy mood most days. Thinking of all that he does for me makes me want to cry because I am soooo lucky to have him and this baby is going to have the best daddy in the world, she is already the most spoiled child ever because Blake will be in her life. These damn pregnancy hormones are getting to me and making me all sappy! OKay I am going to stop blubbering on like a pregnant lunatic now... :o)

Waiting for The Dark Knight Rises to start!
Yayy for new cars! :o)

.::35 Weeks & Organizing ::.

He likes to pretend he has a belly also!

How far along? 35 Weeks
Total weight gain: 24 lbs.
Stretch marks? Yep, it's really light, I was a little sad (as in I cried), but then I felt ridiculous about crying because I knew I would get them and my baby girl is worth it!
Sleep: ...
Best moment this week: 2 Baby showers! My GJ friends threw me one on Sunday, and it was so cute. We decorated onesies and I loved it! Then on Tuesday I had a meeting for work and I walked in my office to it fully decorated and gifts for baby girl. I was so surprised. I'm so grateful for how thoughtful everyone has been.
Miss Anything? Sleep, sleeping on my belly, energy..
Movement: Lots of it!
Food cravings: Salad, watermelon, donuts (haven't given it yet), and oreos (I plan on indulging in those though). Lately all I want is carbs (like one day I just wanted toast with cinnamon sugar on it) and treats. I have been a pretty healthy eater through this pregnancy but lately I just want to eat everything and try and reach 500 lbs or something.Haha. If we have treats in the house I have Blake put them on top of the cupboards cause he knows I wont risk falling trying to reach for them. Ha.
Symptoms: Hip and shoulder pain from sleeping on my side all night.
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and sleepy!
Looking forward to: Meeting our sweet girl in 5 short weeks... :o)

I am having the hardest time trying to figure out how to organize Baby K's things...and I still have another shower to go... I mean between teething rings, wash clothes, and toys I don't know where to put all this stuff! Anyone have any tips? Or am I totally over thinking it?

Some pictures from the last week. I have actual pictures on my camera from my baby showers but I am posting from my phone...enjoy!
 With my ladies :)
Some gifts from work surprise shower

At work..

Countdown on my phone made me realize I need to get my booty in gear and start preparing for Miss K
Stuff from my shower with my friends here. I had so much fun and loved just having some girl time!! :)

.::34 Weeks::.

I have no idea how she is the size of a cantaloupe when she is 18 inches long and 4 3/4 lbs.
I just write what my pregnancy app says, haha.
How far along? 34 Weeks & 5 Days

Total weight gain: 23 big ones...the numbers are daunting...although I know they are suppose to go up haha.
Sleep: Still blahhh...
Best moment this week: Hearing her heartbeat on Monday, mini date with Blake on Tuesday, Baby K getting a new friend on Wednesday/Thursday.Congrats Jo & Bodie! We can't wait to meet Blakely!
Miss Anything? Having energy! I feel as tired as I did my first trimester.
Movement: Still a professional womb gymnast!
Food cravings: Lemon cake...made it/tasted it for the first time on Monday, thought it was heavenly! So now I just think about it constantly. Fresh fruit is still up there as a fav and chocolate milk.
Symptoms: Started this week off with double leg cramps at 5 a.m. Sunday morning...that was a good time...NOT!!...I would take suggestions on how to prevent these monsters but I have looked at every website and I do all the things except one to prevent them and that's sit for long hours but my job requires it and I stand up and move all the time and on my 30 minute breaks I walk 1-2 miles sooo I'm pretty much doomed!
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy & tired
Looking forward to: My baby shower on Sunday with my GJ girlies! :)

My pregnancy has been really easy so now that my energy levels are at an all time low I am struggling that I can't/don't feel like I can do so much that I need/want to do. I'm struggling to even do my stats homework that needs to be done in the next coming weeks! Ugh! I have an endless (well feels like endless) to do list...some of which isn't so important but I would like to get done. I can't believe I only have 6ish weeks left before this little one joins our family. It's so surreal to me!
Pictures taken thus far on Instagram :o)

Miss Blakely! Almost 10 lbs. What a cute little chunk!

Someone posted this on Facebook and I had a good chuckle from it!

On my daily walk while at work!
My Lemon Cake...yummmm!

Sleep: I sleep terribly for 3-4 days and then have one good night of rest and the cycle continues
Best moment this week: Got Baby K a small dresser and put her newborn & 0-3 month clothes in it and working on painting her changing table white. And Baby K's cousin Addley was born on Sunday! Yay! We can't wait to meet her!
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my belly, having energy, getting a full workout in.
Movement: She's a mover!

Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy...occassionally get moody over random things.
Looking forward to: 34 week appointment on Monday :o)

My boss gave me these two outfits for baby girl :)
Our 4th of July grub! Aloha burgers, fruit, potatoe salad, hot dogs, and IBC Cream Soda. I had to work until 4:30 that day and I was beat after so we just BBQ'd and enjoyed our time together! Fireworks are completely banned here but we heard a few random ones late that night...I'm sure those people got the $750 tickets that cops were handing out.

.::32 Weeks::.

How far along? 32 Weeks
Stretch marks? None yet
Sleep: ...
Best moment this week: 32 week doctors appointment, except for the long wait, no more afternoon appointments for us!
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my tummy
Movement: She likes doing "womb gymnastics" as Blake would say.
Food cravings: Nothing really, it changes from my boredom levels.
Symptoms: A little hip pain from sleeping on my side all night but it goes away once I start moving around.
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy most of the time, sometimes I get really emotional about working 12 hour shifts since I hate my job.
Looking forward to: Working 4-10's and hopefully somewhat of a consistent work schedule.

Blake and I realized last night at Olive Garden that pretty soon going out will be much harder since we will either be packing her along or getting a babysitter...holy 50(ish) days and we will be parents and will be responsible for a little human!

.::31 Weeks::.

 How far along? 31 Weeks, 4 days

Total weight gain: +20 lbs.
Stretch marks? None yet
Sleep: Non-existant, and I don't think it's from my belly either, my body just doesn't want to sleep past 5 a.m. and my bladder insists on waking up every 2 hours.
Best moment this week: Passed my College Algebra final... :)
Miss Anything? Sleep and energy, I'm finally slowing down. It's really a chore to get a workout in nowadays.
Movement: She's practicing her gymnastics moves. It doesn't hurt yet so that's good. It's just so strange to feel her move SOOO much!
Food cravings: None really.
Symptoms: None really.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Getting through this pay period of work! :)

We went to Utah over Father's Day weekend and we had so much fun! On Friday we went to the temple, got J-Dawgs, and then played tennis for hours against my family. Blake and I won, of course! ;)
On Saturday we went to lunch with some besties, played croquet (I won! Kinda.), went swimming, then met up with our friends again for dinner at Red Robbin and a game of Wacky 6's after. Sunday we went to church, ate a ton of yummy food my mama made, relaxed, ate some more, and watched the game before heading back to GJ.

.::28 Weeks, Hello, 3rd Trimester!::.

We had a great vacation! I did not want to come back to work! I mean after 2 weeks off would you want to come back to work to work 3 12's, a 9, and then an 11 hour shift in row? Nope! We spent 2 days in St. George, one of those days Blake went golfing with his brother, and I went to the movies with my sister-in-law and kiddies. When we got to Cali we spent 2 days at Disneyland, a day at Sea World, and a day at Universal Studios and Blake and I were able to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins in Lakewood. We were constantly going that by the end of the night we were pooped! I had no idea kids could have energy from 7 a.m. til about midnight! We had so much fun though and it was fun to be with Blake's brothers and their families. I was a little nervous being pregnant and having bad ankles to go to amusement parks all day but I actually did really well and my doctor was pretty awesome and said I could ride any ride I wanted as long as there wasn't a bar that came across my belly and could hit me. And she also trusted that I would be there with 3 nurse practitioners so I was in good hands!
We spent 4 days in Utah since my aunts from Australia were there visiting! We were welcomed with a ridiculous and I mean RIDICULOUS amount of baby clothes and gifts. She is so spoiled but we are thankful for our loving family and how excited they are for us. She honestly doesn't need any more clothes until after she is 6 months old.

How far along? 28 Weeks
Total weight gain: ?
Stretch marks? None yet.
Sleep: On vacation I slept pretty good since I was worn out from being at amusement parks all day but now that I am back home it's the normal tossing and turning and keeping Blake up because of it.
Best moment this week: We bought her blessing dress!! :o) And I took my glucose test, which is not bad at all, and I am assuming since I haven't heard my doctors office that  I passed?!
Miss Anything? Sleep
Movement: Lots of movement. When we were at Disneyland, some of the rides are so loud that she would go crazy kicking because there was so much going on.
Food cravings: I have to kick my sugar cravings! After being on vacation and eating anything I want all I want is fatty foods...
Symptoms: I got my 2nd leg cramp this pregnancy! Oowweee! :( So not fun!!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: We haven't done anything to prepare for her arrival and we have quite the list to do, so that.

This is kinda random and may be personal but does/has anyone use/d a breast pump?? If so, manual vs. electric? Single vs. Double? And what brand? I figured no one would probably buy me one (kinda a weird gift to maybe give someone..?) so I'm looking for one.

.:: 25 Weeks & Pack 'n Play Advice::.

How far along? 25 Weeks, 4 days

Total weight gain: +17 lbs.
Stretch marks? None yet.
Sleep: I keep having dreams that I go into labor and Blake is teaching and I can't get a hold of him so one of his teammates has to take me to the hospital. In all honesty, I would probably only call one of them to take me but in your dream when his younger, not as smart, partying teammates want to just throw you over there shoulder, it's terrifying!
Best moment this week: Blake taking his very last final ever (for his undergrad) and him celebrating by buying a CMU bib for the babe, getting a mani-pedi with my friend Angie, and going to Ross and buying a cute piggy bank and outfit  (and clothes for us) for the baby.
Miss Anything? Same as usual, wishing I had a normal work schedule so I could workout and play tennis more. I'm sure next week it will be different since I will be at amusement parks.
Movement: She's a mover! Especially late at night when I am going to bed, luckily it doesn't keep me up.
Food cravings: PB and honey on wheat toast/english muffin, Diet Pepsi, and fruit smooties.
Symptoms: I sometimes have round ligament pain after walking on my 30 minute breaks but it's not bad.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, when I am not at work :)
Looking forward to: My doctors appointment on Friday and then immediatly leaving after for St. George, Cali, and then back to Utah.

I love the advice people have given me! It's nice to hear from women your own age who are in the same stage of life as you!

Who has a Pack 'n Play? I think this item is essential, especially when we go visit family and baby needs a place to sleep...or chill during the day. Anyways...there are like a billion kinds out there and I am wondering if you need this high-tech has a changing station that turns into a newborn napper with a mobile (though I think that would be nice for the babe) with an adjustable shade cover with a night light? Are all those things necessary and do you actually use them all?
